This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Nights, 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 : 15 AM with a 36-hour guarantee. Every other weekend and holiday required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for preparing, administering, and recording prescribed medications, as well as performing various medical procedures such as changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs. The nurse will adjust specialized medical equipment as needed and interpret and record measurements. Monitoring patients' vital signs and reporting any adverse reactions to medications promptly is also essential.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care using the Nursing Process by :
• Completing nursing assessments of patients and documenting appropriately in the patient chart.
• Developing a plan of care based upon the assessment of the patient.
• Implementing the plan of care and documenting in the chart.
• Evaluates patient responses to care and updates the plan of care as necessary.
• Oversees the delegation of specifics of the patient plan of care to unit staff.
