Systems Automation is a policy-based solution to optimize efficiency and availability of critical systems and applications. It is designed to reduce administrative and operational tasks; customization and programming effort for responding to system events. The migration will convert existing OPS / MVS rules and Rexxexecs.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB :
- We are seeking experienced Senior Engineers to join our software maintenance and support team. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for providing maintenance and support for OSP 10 and Rel 7.7 software products.
- Your expertise in Corgi, Pacemaker for RHEL HA, Python, git, ansible, and Jenkins / Groovy will be crucial in ensuring the stability and reliability of our software offerings.
- You will work closely with a team of engineers, reviewing published vulnerabilities, and providing support to customers who are using previous versions of our software products.
- Performs research, design, implementation and support tasks as a member of CapGemini team.
Works in accordance with project guidelines, quality standards and code conventions.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Provide maintenance and support for OSP 10 and Rel 7.7 software productsReview and address published vulnerabilities, ensuring the software remains secure and resilientCollaborate with a team of engineers to troubleshoot and resolve customer issueAssist in backporting critical CVEs (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) to maintain software securityWork closely with kernel developers to address software issues and optimize performanceMaintain a thorough understanding of the software products and their functionalityCollaborate with internal teams to develop and implement software patches and updatesContribute to the improvement of software maintenance processes and proceduresStay up to date with industry trends and advancements to provide proactive support and recommendationsEnsures that assigned area / areas are delivered within set deadlines and required quality objectives.Provides estimations, agrees task duration with the manager and contributes to project plan of assigned area.Analyzes scope of alternative solutions and makes decision about area implementation based on his / her experience and technical expertise.Reports about area readiness / quality, and raises red flags in crisis situations which are beyond his / her AOR.Initiates and conducts code reviews, creates code standards, conventions and guidelines.Collaborates with other teams.REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
Must have :
