A Nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours. People First in Hobbs Local Team Collaboration : Join our close-knit team of 5 physicians and 3 APPs at Covenant Health Hobbs Hospital. Work alongside a fantastic team of emergency and hospital medicine colleagues, providing an excellent variety of pathology. Our physicians are from all over the country, reflecting the unique environment where they willingly fly in monthly. Qualifications : Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution. Board Certified / Eligible in Emergency Medicine, OR Board Certified / Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with ATLS. Proficiency in Spanish preferred but not required. Active medical license or eligible to become licensed in New Mexico. Authorized to work in the United States. New graduates are encouraged to apply. Practice in the Heart of the Community Flexible Scheduling : This role is for a nocturnist who will be covering the night shift We offer an array of flexible scheduling options, including 12-hour shifts and consecutive days, allowing for extended free time. Our emergency department provides single doctor coverage with an APP from 11 am to 11 pm. Key Responsibilities : Provide top-quality patient care to a rural emergency department with 12 beds in an open ICU setting, seeing 16,650 patients annually. Foster collaboration and support among team members. Emphasize proper, careful, and safe patient treatment as a core focus. Utilize advanced medical technology and handle transfers through the Convenant Transfer Center. Use EPIC as the electronic medical record system.
