Job description

LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Family Practice PA in California!

About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Jan 5, 2026. This opportunity features day shifts, Monday to Friday, from 9 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm, covering a mix of inpatient wound care and outpatient Family Practice cases.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide inpatient wound care and support in acute rehab settings, referring severe cases to the emergency department
  • Manage outpatient Family Practice cases including cough, cold, flu, hypertension, diabetes, and general aches and pains
  • Perform common procedures such as suturing, casting, and incision and drainage (I & D)
  • Deliver patient-centered care in both inpatient and outpatient environments

    • Additional Information

  • Minimum 3 years of Family Practice experience required
  • Active California license required
  • Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine required
