Job Title : CT Tech Profession : Radiologic Technologist Specialty : Acute : Tech : Radiologic Technology Duration : 15 Shift : Full Time Hours per Shift : 10 : 30 AM - 9 : 00 PM, scheduled between Monday - Friday, holiday rotation required, flexibility needed. Experience : Minimum 1 year CT Tech experience with some radiology experience required. License : NYS License required. Certifications : ARRT required, BLS required. Must-Have : Competency in two specific modalities, flexibility in emergency call on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Description : Performs technical radiographic assignments. Exercises complex skills, judgment, and knowledge of the principles and methods of Radiologic Technology. Performs diagnostic radiographic studies as requested. Operates portable diagnostic radiographic equipment where needed. Performs infection control according to Universal Precautions. Provides care to infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Operates various imaging equipment with accuracy, including radiographic and CT. Evaluates images for quality and demonstrates accuracy of positioning based on procedure guidelines. Provides clear and concise instructions during procedures to calm and relieve stress for patients. Ensures that proper radiation protection is used for self, patients, and other personnel through appropriate techniques. Demonstrates competency in Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS). Utilizes systems to enter and edit patient exams and charges. Records appropriate data, scans documents, and makes notes as necessary. Responsible for the performance of radiographic and CT studies with and without IV contrast enhancement. Follows regulatory guidelines as required. Performs required quality control activities. Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is reasonably anticipated. Tasks involve potential contact with blood, body fluids, tissues.
