Job descriptionCannonball Recruiting is seeking experienced a Trailer Technician for a Trailer Service Department in Manheim, PA. Perform all phases of repairs and modifications to semi-trailers in a safe and productive manner. High School Diploma or GED 5+ years of experience working on Semi-Trailers Expectations include the ability to diagnose, repair, and guide technicians in the following : Structural Repairs Chassis Repairs Hydraulic / Air Brake / ABS systems Lift Gate Systems Basic Reefer Repairs Federal DOT Inspections Perform all levels of preventive maintenance Identify warrantable repairs and document using provided UKTS processes Must be able to keep up in a fast-paced environment Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively Excellent organization, customer service, communication and planning skills Noise levels are moderate to high at times. The physical exertion is moderate to heavy. The employee must be able to occasionally lift and or move up to 100 pounds. The employee must be capable of continuously climbing up and down into a trailer. Meets daily with the Lease / Rental Operations Supervisor and other operations personnel to discuss scheduling and demands for equipment Exhibit a strong sense of urgency and constant focus on daily efficiency and production Perform repairs and inspections on all lease / rental semi-trailer makes and models Perform basic and routine preventative maintenance on trailers, along with DOT inspections Repair / Replace trailer components Open and close repair orders on company issued laptop Manage parts inventory on the service truck Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion Maintain a high level of productivity and be able to work within standard repair times Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local government and company standards for reliability and safety Quarterly Profit Share Performance Bonus (up to $600 monthly) PTO (2-weeks) and 8 Paid Holidays Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance Matching 401K (Retirement Planning) Company uniforms provided Prescription safety glasses and work boots program No weekends
