Your New Role...

CNN International is seeking a writer for Quest Means Business to deliver smart, engaging scripts that transform complex business stories into bold, distinctive television.

Your Role Accountabilities…

Research, and write compelling, conversational anchor copy for CNNI newscasts.

Collaborate with Producers on content, formatting scripts, viewing video and graphic elements, and finding relevant sources.

Write stories on a variety of topics, including leading international and business news.

Effectively coordinate script, live shot and interview elements with APs and / or Producer

Communicate effectively with remote teams in Atlanta / London

Support New York anchors

Qualifications & Experience…

Must have a BA or equivalent work experience.

At least one year of experience as a full-time newsroom writer or successful completion of writer training in a CNN newsroom.

It is important for the candidate to have a thorough understanding and proven experience in handling international stories.

Successful candidates will demonstrate an active interest in business news

Must have the flexibility to work different shifts including evenings, overnights and weekends.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and / or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range : $70,000.00 - $130,000.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
