About the Role
Join our team as the Director of Payroll and Employee Benefits, where you will play a crucial role in leading and managing our district's payroll and benefits operations. You will ensure efficient and compliant administration of payroll and employee benefits, contributing to the well-being of our dedicated staff.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing diverse pay structures, maintaining payroll schedules, and managing employee benefits while fostering strong relationships with your colleagues for seamless collaboration. You will prepare and deliver vital reports related to payroll and benefits, ensuring adherence to all policies and regulations while managing departmental budgets effectively.
We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor's degree in accounting, financial management, or a related field; a Master's degree and CPA or other professional certifications are preferred. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in budget, accounting, auditing, or finance, with a solid understanding of school finance systems.
You will lead teams, offer guidance on financial best practices, and develop and revise payroll and benefits policies. Additionally, you will participate in internal and external audits, ensuring the security and confidentiality of employee information in compliance with relevant regulations.
