The Dance Instructor will teach dance to a wide range of ages and skill levels.

Responsibilities

Responsible for leading and instructing dance classes for children and adults

Responsible for development of progressive curriculum for various age groups

Set-up equipment and perform safety checks.

Communicate with parents and guardians.

Responsible for set-up prior to class and clean-up after class.

Supervise children after class until pick-up by parent or guardian.

Assisting with marketing of classes provided

Display creativity in the programs and willingness to improve the experience to maintain engagement, fun and development of students.

Job Requirements

First Aid and CPR Certified, or willing to obtain upon hire.

Dance background experience.

Coaching / instructor background, a plus!

One to three years’ experience in Preschool Tumbling and Gymnastics ideal.

Ability to communicate with children and parents.

Ability to work autonomously and maintain class rosters along with facilitation of classes.

Physical Demands

Work requires ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a daily basis.

Work requires ability to carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a daily basis.

Work requires ability to stand, walk and kneel for 90% of work time.

Work requires ability to stoop and bend, reach, and grab with arms and hands, have manual dexterity and color vision and communication with other people.

Compensation details :

16-17 Hourly Wage
