Job Summary
The Strategic Sourcing Manager will be responsible for the company’s end-to-end sourcing operations, creating a competitive supply chain advantage for Greenology Products. This position will assume responsibility for all phases of sourcing requiring the skills necessary to identify cost saving opportunities, create competitive environments, creatively negotiate and develop partners assuring seamless availability of all products to support the company objectives. Key deliverables include long-term strategy development, short-term tactical execution, supplier qualification, contracting, RFI / RFQ process, cost savings targets, and supplier measurement and development systems.
Essential Functions :
- Responsible for all strategic CPG sourcing management goals of Greenology Products
- Develop strategies and lead negotiations that deliver on business objectives, achieve sustainable supplier relationships, and differentiate Greenology Products from the competition
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships including developing metrics, performance goals and improvement initiatives
- Develop and implement sourcing / supplier selection strategy, purchasing policies, and ensure compliance within department
- Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models
- Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and exploit emerging opportunities
- Lead annual standard costing process for all COGS items
- Establish short- and long-term planning and budget development for purchasing to support strategic business goals
- Understand the regulatory environment and its impact on supplier selection and qualification
- Other duties as required
