About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Information and Technology Officer (CITO) to spearhead its next phase of innovation at the intersection of art, design, and digital transformation. The CITO will be a visionary leader, responsible for shaping the institution's culture, strategy, and technology enterprise. This role involves directing the Technology Master Plan, implementing forward-thinking systems, and ensuring that technology strategy aligns with academic and operational goals. The successful candidate will also be a trusted advisor to the President, with a focus on driving innovation, security, and strategy, and will be expected to maintain a robust IT infrastructure while anticipating emerging trends in cybersecurity, academic technology, and enterprise systems.
Applicants for the CITO position at the company should have a Master's or Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, with a minimum of 7 years' experience in technical management in a higher education or similar environment. The role requires a candidate with a strong technical background, including knowledge of networking, systems, applications, security, business continuity, and disaster recovery. Experience in managing an enterprise resource planning system and a proven track record of excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in a relevant field, IT management experience in a higher education setting, and a background in a creative, fine arts, and / or design environment.
