Job description

Job Title : Electro Mechanical engineer (Control Engineer)

Location : Napoleon, OH 43545

Job Type : 12 Months of Contract with possible extension

Shift timing : 04 : 00pm - 12 : 00pm (MON to FRI)

Job Responsibilities :

Review / debug PLC logic, error-proofing, and data collection functions.
Lead root cause analysis and downtime elimination.
Support lean manufacturing layouts, continuous improvement, and cost-saving initiatives.
Review / approve electrical, mechanical, and control schematics, BOMs, and drawings.
Develop and update PMs, critical spares lists, PFMEAs, Operator Instructions, Control Plans, and Process Flow Charts.
Interface with vendors for system design, build, and installation.
Support quality and problem-solving tools (5 Why, Fishbone, 7 Step, etc.).
Ensure a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.

Qualifications :

3+ years of Controls Engineering experience.

Strong troubleshooting skills (electrical & mechanical).

Proficiency with RSLogix 5000 and RSLinx (required).

Experience with fastener torque systems (preferred), barcode / RFID, pneumatic devices, and safety equipment.

Knowledge of PFMEAs, Control Plans, Process Flow Charts, and gage / layout procedures.

Skilled in MS Office, AutoCAD, and VisView.

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Able to support extended hours, weekends, and multiple shifts as needed.
