Site Carpenter

SUMMARY / / The Site Carpenter is responsible for carrying out climbing wall construction and installation tasks on gym projects. This role involves steel fabrication, erection, basic carpentry, equipment operation, and site preparation. Duties include installing panels and steel, operating tools and machinery, and maintaining site cleanliness. The role also requires consistent adherence to safety protocols, effective teamwork, and a strong work ethic. Candidates must demonstrate time management, data integrity, and a commitment to Vertical Solutions' standards of craftsmanship. Work involves heights , varying temperatures, and physical labor in a dynamic and collaborative field environment .

Estimated duration of project is Austin, TX based, 2-3 month s starting at beginning of August 2025 .

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES / /

• Follow all OSHA safety expectations and wear required PPE (e.g., hard hat, safety vest, safety glasses).
• Maintain a clean, organized jobsite and adhere to 5S methodology ; demonstrate urgency and a culture of craftsmanship.
• Execute installation tasks including building wood and steel structures, concrete work, demolition, and scaffolding setup.
• Operate hand, power, pneumatic tools, and heavy machinery while following safety procedures.
• Interpret printed and digital plans; provide estimates for materials / equipment; follow SOPs and execute QC procedures.
• Utilize electronic t ime clock and materials log ; ensure daily accuracy and integrity of data logged.
• Support field team, demonstrate professionalism , be adaptable , and maintain a positive attitude.
• Work at heights using lifts and harnesses, always maintaining two safety points; follow rope access safety standards.
• Assist trade workers (e.g., electricians, HVAC) and perform general labor including sweeping, inventory, and errands.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / / Work is performed at active construction sites and involves physical exertion including lifting, climbing, crouching, and use of tools. Employees work at heights, in confined spaces, and under various temperature / weather conditions. Exposure to loud noise and potentially hazardous materials is expected.
