Minimum 1 years of OB nursing experience (labor room & postpartum required). BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications required. Nursery trained & labor room trained. Fetal monitoring certification preferred but not required. Prior experience with Meditech EMR and GE fetal monitoring equipment preferred. Responsibilities Provide safe and compassionate nursing care in labor & delivery, postpartum, and nursery settings. Manage a Level 1 nursery, caring for stable newborns and coordinating with pediatric providers. Administer OB-specific medications including Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, and routine fluids. Monitor and interpret fetal heart rate using GE and Philips monitors. Care for additional female populations (GYN, female ortho, and bariatrics) as census allows. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary staff to promote optimal patient outcomes.
