SUMMARY
The Senior Director of Public Relations will be responsible for spearheading the development and execution of RealPage’s corporate communications and public relations strategy. Ideal candidates will have experience in high-growth, transformative environments that require strong change management communication strategies and execution. This highly visible role requires close collaboration with the CEO, CMO, General Counsel and the executive leadership team to define, build and execute best-in-class external communications.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and drive the strategic corporate communications and public relations strategy and execution plan across RealPage.
- Effectively manage two agencies : Cookerly PR for US public relations support and DCI for US public policy support.
- Effectively indirectly manage local PR efforts in the Philippines and India, working closely with Country Managers and their team.
- Manage the company’s corporate philanthropy program, RealPage Cares in working closely with Employee Communications and Human Resources.
- Collaborate with Marketing leads, Creative and Social leads to ensure a consistent and compelling narrative across RealPage.
- Directly support the communications needs of the executive leadership team, including but not limited to org announcements, M&A announcements, policy / media statements, product launches and the tier one trade shows and events.
- Build a scalable external communications function – including building structure, processes and policies and playbooks to modernize and optimize the impact of the communications team.
- Maintain open and ongoing communication to exchange relevant information with senior management, other business units to effectively manage and modify communication programs; serve as designated point person in all aspects of communications to ensure message continuity, clarity, and accuracy.
- Collaborate effectively across functions and teams, cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including marketing, business leads, legal, finance, operations, etc.
- Engage as a member of important teams – from Mergers and Acquisitions to the Incident Management Team.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in journalism, public relations, marketing or a related field12 years of senior-level corporate communications experienceREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
Must be flexible and able to work extended hours.Willingness to adjust to change and reconsider position considering new information.Ability to motivate and train employees as required.Previous experience with technology company or agency experience with technology companies desired.Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to lead and motivate team members and stakeholders, manage multiple projects within strict time frames and meet set deadlines.Visionary thinker, creative project manager, excellent writer and communicator.Proven experience building and enabling an enduring culture of communications within large, complex organizations.Strong communications skills and ability to provide counsel and recommendations to senior executives.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
