Travel Radiation Therapist - $3,100 to $3,200 per week in Pomona, CA

Job Title : Radiation Therapist Contract Type : Travel / Temporary Start Date : 02 / 09 / 2026 Assignment Length : 6 weeks Schedule : Shift : Day (5x8-hour, 08 : 00–17 : 00) Block Scheduling : Not available On-Call / Float : Not required Job Summary : The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for the accurate delivery of prescribed radiation therapy treatments to oncology patients while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and optimal therapeutic outcomes. The therapist will work collaboratively with dosimetrists, physicists, and radiation oncologists to plan and administer treatments utilizing advanced radiation delivery systems and imaging technologies. This position involves partnership with another staff Radiation Therapist (RTT) and requires a professional who can work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities : Administer external beam radiation therapy and specialized treatments as prescribed by the radiation oncologist. Verify patient identity, treatment sites, and radiation parameters before each procedure. Operate and maintain linear accelerators and other radiation therapy equipment safely and effectively. Set up and position patients accurately using immobilization devices and image guidance systems. Perform and document daily quality assurance checks on treatment units. Record all treatment data accurately in the electronic record and verify system (Varis–Vision / ARIA). Adhere to departmental safety protocols and radiation protection standards. Communicate effectively with the care team regarding patient conditions, concerns, or changes in treatment tolerance. Provide compassionate and professional patient care throughout the course of therapy. Experience : Minimum of 4 years of radiation therapy experience Travel experience required Proficiency with Varis–Vision / ARIA systems Experience performing Electron Beam Therapy , External Beam Therapy , SBRT (Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy) , and IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy)
