Assignment :

4-10 hour per week on Saturdays and / or Sundays from December through March

Wages :

Starting at $19.57 per hour

Not medical or dental benefit eligible.

Primary Objective :

To provide building supervision during rec basketball games for youth in grades K-12 to create a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone involved in the youth basketball program.

Job Responsibilities :

• Facility Management :
• Oversee the cleanliness and orderliness of the gym and surrounding areas.
• Ensure all equipment is in good condition and report any repairs needed.
• Supervision :
• Monitor the activities of participants, coaches, referees, and spectators to ensure safety and compliance with rules.
• Enforce facility guidelines and policies.
• Customer Service :
• Provide assistance and information to participants and parents.
• Address any issues or conflicts that arise during events.
• Administrative Tasks :
• Complete necessary paperwork, such as incident reports.
• Coordinate with other staff members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
• Safety and First Aid :
• Be prepared to handle emergencies and provide first aid if necessary.
• Ensure that all safety protocols are followed.
• Event Coordination :
• Assist in setting up and breaking down for games and practices.
• Help with scheduling and organizing events.

Job Qualifications :

• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of youth and adults.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the sport of basketball preferred.
