Details

  • Profession : Psychiatrist
  • Schedule : Monday - Friday, roughly 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Rounds in the morning

  • Rotational responsibility for managing hospital calls / consults every third day (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.)
  • Job Description :

    • Board Certified or Board Eligible (with plans to test) in Psychiatry

  • Experience in treating patients ages 6 and up preferred
  • Inpatient Psych (adult unit and adolescent unit), Hospital Consults, ER Consults (Not open to telehealth)
  • Average Patients Per Day : 5-12
  • Total Beds : 18 adults, 5 adolescents
  • Psychiatrists in Group : 1 part-time inpatient
  • Advanced Practice Providers : 2
  • Psychologists : None (inpatient)
  • EMR : Cerner
  • Trauma Level / Designation : III
  • Referral / Transfer Protocol : University of Iowa, 40 minutes by car
  • Safety / Security Measures : Security on each campus
  • Required Treatment Disorders : Anxiety Disorders, Affective Disorders, ADD / ADHD, Personality Disorders, Eating Disorders, Developmental Disorders, Psychotic Disorders, Organic Disorders
  • Familiarity with : Family Therapy, Restraint Application, Group Therapy, Pharmacotherapy, Seclusion therapy, Voluntary Commitments, ER
  • Not accepting visa candidates
  • Estimated Credentialing Timeframe : 60-90 days
