Job Title : Head of Purchasing – Americas

Location : Kentucky, USA (On-site, Regional Scope)

About the Client and role :

Join a fast-growing Tier 1 automotive supplier currently accelerating toward multiple billions through major positive transformation. The company is strengthening its presence across the Americas and building a more localized, agile, and competitive supply base - and this newly created Head of Purchasing – Americas role sits at the heart of that strategy.

You’ll reinvent processes, upgrade suppliers, drive performance, and lead a purchasing function that touches direct & indirect, strategic & operational, and series & program spending.

Key Responsibilities :

Full responsibility of all purchasing activities across the Americas region.

Develop and execute the purchasing strategy for Americas region.

Establish and manage a local supplier base for key commodities.

Lead supplier negotiations, performance management, and cost optimization initiatives.

Lead the transformation of the purchasing unit.

Ideal Candidate Profile :

Automotive Tier 1 background with proven experience in strategic purchasing.

Experience with localizing suppliers across Americas.

Excellent leadership and relationship-building skills.

A communicative, energetic, and passionate leader who thrives in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
