About The Child & Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatrist Position

The Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at Dell Medical School, in conjunction with Ascension Seton and the Seton Family of Doctors seek a board certified or board eligible Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our clinical faculty and serve on our inpatient team at Dell Children s Medical Center.

What You'll Do :

• Provide clinical expertise to evaluate and treat a broad spectrum of mental health challenges for children and adolescents (ages 6 17) within a trauma informed, family-centered, multidisciplinary model.
• The physician will collaborate closely with pediatric psychologists, psychiatrically trained nurses, behavioral health technicians, social workers, expressive therapists and other allied professionals; contribute to on call coverage for the Mental Health Unit; and actively engaged in education across disciplines including medical students, residents, fellows, graduate students, and trainees.
• Opportunities exist for collaboration in innovative clinical programming, quality improvement and team-based research.
• This position is designed as 0.5 FTE inpatient psychiatry, combined with 0.5 FTE tailored to the candidate s interests and program's needs (e.g., outpatient services, CL psychiatry or community mental health).
