Our client, one of the largest home-building companies in the US, is hiring an Information Technology Field Technician to join their IT support team in Austin, TX.
This position is a 3 to 6-month contract to hire!
This team provides local support to HQ and field construction sites, and as an IT Field Technician, you will be responsible for resolving tickets related to MS O36, laptops, workstations, hardware devices, and printers. This role also has a network and telecom component where you may need to install satellite internet and cellular modems.
The ideal candidate will have had previous experience supporting technical support in a travel / field capacity!
What You Will Be Doing :
- Resolve 20 tickets a day
- Support Windows and Mac devices
- Support to the service desk for issues like desktop support, troubleshoot software, internet connectivity, Active Directory, and Azure Office 365.
- Image computers, set up and troubleshoot A / V software and devices, and support cell phone requests, and coordinate printer issues.
- Network installs, install cable modems, printers, new workstations, StarLink (satellite internet), and Cradle Points (cellular version of Starlink, cellular modem for internet connection), and troubleshooting LAN.
Required Skills :
3+ years of experience in IT supportStrong communication skills, experience supporting non-technical staff.Professional attire, presentation and personality.Must provide your own car and drive yourself to destinations.Tier 1 and 2 support including for O365 & AD.Must have WindowsNetworking fundamentals such as LAN, WAN, Routers, Switches, TCP / IP, etc.Experience in imaging laptops, supporting A / V, and supporting cell phones.Nice to have :
