Registered Nurse, 5th Floor Step Down, Per Diem, Night Shift,

Position Summary :

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Step-Down Unit provides high-quality, compassionate care to patients requiring close monitoring and advanced nursing investigations. The RN utilizes strong critical thinking skills, clinical expertise, and teamwork to manage patients transitioning from intensive to general care levels, ensuring safe and effective outcomes.

Responsibilities :

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care in the Step-Down / PCU setting.
• Monitor, interpret, and document cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic status.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary staff.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and hospital policies at all times.
