Position OverviewBooji Beauty Bar & Co. is hiring a talented and professional Braid Stylist to join our multicultural, education-focused team. Were looking for someone with 5+ years of hands-on braiding experience, a strong portfolio, and a commitment to quality, efficiency, and guest care. As a Booji Braid Stylist, you will help us uphold our standard of excellence while delivering creative, fashion-forward braid services.Key ResponsibilitiesGreet guests warmly and ensure a positive, high-end salon experienceConduct thoughtful, effective consultations to align style outcomes with guest expectationsProvide a wide range of protective braid styles, including but not limited to : Knotless and traditional box braidsFeed-in cornrows and lemonade braidsPassion twists, Senegalese twists, Marley twistsDreadlocks (starter, retwist, and maintenance)Perform braid extension services with precision and careEducate guests on braid maintenance, scalp care, and home care regimensRecommend retail products to enhance results and improve guest retentionMaintain proper sanitation and cleanliness of tools and workstationsParticipate in front desk duties when needed (check-ins, phone calls, appointment scheduling)Collaborate with team members to uphold salon standards and contribute to a positive team cultureAttend salon meetings, team-building activities, and ongoing education sessionsRequired Qualifications & SkillsMinimum of 5 years professional braiding experience (non-negotiable)Portfolio showcasing your work across multiple braid styles (digital or printed)Ability to complete styles within set Booji Beauty time framesHigh school diploma or GEDExcellent guest service, communication, and active listening skillsPunctual, teachable, reliable, and collaborativeStrong attention to detail, cleanliness, and efficiencyPreferred QualificationsExperience in a professional salon environmentFamiliarity with salon software (e.g., booking systems, POS)Interest in pursuing a cosmetology license or enrollment in a training programUnderstanding of textured hair trends and scalp care practicesCore Values CommitmentAll team members must embody Booji Beautys core values : B.O.O.J.I.
