Orthopedic Surgery opening in IA- Located in Decorah, IA; Rochester 70m- Full Time; Permanent- BE / BC- Will be responsible for providing clinic-based orthopedic consultations and surgical procedures, primarily in joint replacements, sports medicine / arthroscopic surgery, and some trauma - The patient population may involve some pediatrics, but the majority of patients will be age 16 and up- Become a member of a team of two Orthopedic Surgeons, 1 Podiatrist, ortho / surgical PAs and nurses upon completion of recruitment- Close collaboration with a robust occupational health program facilitated by a well-trained advanced practice provider- Potential outreach to surrounding communities within a 60-mile radius- Group is the orthopedic and sports medicine provider for Upper Iowa University (UIU) and Luther College- Orthopedic surgeon serves as the team physician for the department of athletics and provides weekly training room and home event coverage for select events- Primary care physicians and advanced practice providers also serve as the student health service providers during the academic yearAbout the Area : Decorah, Iowa, is a city of 8,500 residents, and is located in the scenic bluff country of northeast Iowa along the picturesque banks of the Upper Iowa River.
