CNC Programmer

A manufacturing organization in Chicopee Massachusetts is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to support the production of precision components for the Aerospace Defense and Space industries. The ideal candidate will play a key role in New Product Introduction (NPI) process development and technical support across machining operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as an integral member of the engineering team and a key contributor to New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.
• Review and interpret product design information including 2D drawings GD&T requirements 3D models and related specifications to develop optimal machining and production processes.
• Select all required tooling and fixturing for production; assist with fixture design and participate in fabrication of setup components.
• Use Vericut simulation software to analyze programs prior to production identifying errors collision risks and efficiency issues.
• Set up operate and program multi-tasking and milling machines using Mazatrol Conversational G-Code and Mastercam.
• Provide hands-on technical support to machinists in daily machining operations.
• Identify recommend and implement process and efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering and management to source and integrate machine upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 quality standards all company procedures and state / federal safety and environmental regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
