Inpatient Psychiatry opening in Michigan - Located in St. Joseph, MI - Chicago 95m - Full-time, permanent position - 26-bed inpatient unit, with an average daily census of 22 is staffed with 2.50 FTE of psychiatrists. - A full-time psychiatrist carries a patient load of about 810 patients and will provide consultation liaison to the acute care floors and emergency room, on average about 2 consults per day - Multidisciplinary treatment team - Night call coverage is rotated between the psychiatrists, as well as a compliment of Pine Rest psychiatrists who provide overnight and weekend call coverage - Night call coverage is provided by phone only, face to face coverage is provided by the Medical physicians overnight - Weekend rounding on a 1 : 4 rotation - Weekend rounding consists of 1 psychiatrist and either a psychiatric advanced practice provider or another psychiatrist - Every patient is seen every day - Epic EMRSouthwest Michigan is home to Whirlpool Corporations Global Headquarters and Andrews University one of the most diverse college campuses in the United States.
