Certified Medical Coder

A company is looking for a Professional Medical Coder.

Key Responsibilities

Review medical records to assign appropriate E / M, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes accurately

Conduct audits of physician documentation to ensure accuracy

Collaborate with the coding team to enhance coding outcomes and meet productivity standards

Required Qualifications

Associate degree in Health Information Management or equivalent

3+ years of professional specialty coding experience

CPC, RHIA, RHIT, or CCS coding credentials from AHIMA or AAPC

Advanced knowledge of medical coding and electronic medical record systems

Familiarity with coding guidelines and legal compliance issues related to medical coding
