SHIPPING LEAD

Our client is established as a leading design, print, and fabrication house that specializes in large-format printing and dimensional displays.

SUMMARY

Looking for a full-time employee to assist the Production Supervisor in leading the shipping department and processing outgoing shipments.

PAY : up to $31 / hr for well-qualified candidates. Compensation is decided by the hiring manager and depends on relevance and depth of work history and skills.

SCHEDULE : Monday - Friday 8 am - 4 : 30 pm

• This is a supervisory role : Hours and schedule may need to be adjusted to support business needs.

DUTIES :

Lead daily workflow in the shipping department, ensuring job quality and timeliness

Ensure work orders are completed accurately and on time, while contributing to the visual quality of client- and internal-facing materials.

Work closely with cross-functional teams and occasionally train or support other print room staff.

Ensure brand consistency across designed materials

Collaborate with customer service and production teams on scheduling and job prioritization

Serve as the point of contact for processes and best practices

Train new or temporary team members on equipment and workflows

Suggest process improvements to increase efficiency and quality

Team management, including training new hires and directing the work of all shipping staff (including temps)

Schedule shipping staff, including requesting overtime and approving PTO requests.

Communicate with all other departments and change priorities as necessary to meet project deadlines.

Use Lift software to process jobs through the shipping department.

Ensure quality control.

Pack a variety of materials and schedule pick-ups / drop-offs with UPS, FedEx, CourierDirect, and internal logistics.

Maintain the warehouse inventory, organization, and cleanliness.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 3 years of recent warehouse or stock room experience in a team environment.

Minimum 1 year in a leadership role in a production or warehouse facility.

Intermediate computer skills for processing, tracking, and organizing, including utilizing a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and various shipping software

Prior work history using forklifts, electric jacks, and table saws.

Highly prefer experience with the Panotec Box on Demand machine.

Ability to problem solve solutions in a high-volume environment and / or project management experience.

Ability to multitask throughout the day using strong communication and conflict resolution skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
