RN - PCU

• Duration : 13 weeks
• Guaranteed hours : 36 hours
• Shift : 3x12-Hour Day (7 : 00A - 7 : 00P)

o No Trauma Designation

o Not a Teaching hospital

o Chest Pain Center

o Stroke Center

o Radius rule : Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit

o Beds : 38

o Minimum Years of Experience required? 18 months PCU experience

o Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes

o Stroke, CHF, Electrolyte imbalance, arrythmias, etc.

o RN : 1 : 5

o RN : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

o Cardiac gtt experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, trach care, blood products, wound care / dressing changes, etc.

o CNA available - vitals, blood sugar, call lights, ice / water, room tidiness, bathing among other duties

o Receptionist / HUC? Yes

o Charge nurse - typically free floating

o Phlebotomy? Lab draws blood except from lines

o IV / VAT Team? Yes

o RT 24 / 7? Yes

o Hospitalist 24 / 7? Yes

o Telemetry monitoring / tech? Yes, monitored by monitor tech

o EMR : Epic

o IV Pump : Alaris

o Med dispensing : Omnicell

o Monitors : Phillips

o Unit specific equipment : bladder scanner, IV pumps, SCDs, Telemetry monitoring

o Within region and scope of practice

o Will be required to float per region needs - will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice - DECLINE if not agreeable

o NEO

o 2 days departmental

o Weekend rotation : every other

o No call required

o Holiday Expectations : Travelers will work 75% of holidays

o RTO : Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays - must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours

o Schedule cycle : every 6 weeks
