Experience :

• 24 months of role experience is required from any number of months.
• 12 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience is required from last 4 years.
• 3 months of experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

Requirements :

50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Unit : Staffing Resources Float Pool (ICU / MS / Tele / PCU)

What units are included in the float pool : ICU, MedSurg Tele and PCU across both campuses and would include inpatients holding in ED. East Campus is Campus 2. East Campus NextCare has ICU and stepdown patients, West campus Stepdown average census is 20. West med tele is divided into 4 areas.

Nurse : Patient Ratios : PCU 1 : 4 MedSurg Tele 1 : 5-6.

Common diagnoses / Types of patients : Geriatric patients, ortho patients, strong cath lab program so post procedural patients, caring for groin sites in stepdown unit. Post MI, post Cardiac Cath. CABG post-op day 3-4.

RNs required to titrate drips. urses must be able to interpret strips.

Scheduler for float pool will make the schedule. Schedule is published 6 weeks out for 4 weeks at a time. Travelers will need to be flexible. Night shift will try to accommodate for block scheduling.

Weekend Requirements : Every Other

Holiday Requirements : Will include travelers in perm staff rotation.

Call or standby requirement : Yes-on shifts when we end up with excessive staff. We would put them on standby for their 12 hour shift with the understanding that if we end up needing them, we can call them in at any point during those 12 hours.

How are units assigned- They will be notified 2 hours prior to the start of their shift by text message from the staffing offfice.

Distance between campuses is around 20-25 minutes.

Scrub Color / Dress Code : Currently - solid color professional scrubs. October will allign with Dignity guideline which will be Navy scrubs.

Unit / Department specific orientation : 8 hour day of general hospital orientation, 12 hour shift at West MedTele and 12 hour shift at PCU at West. East campus is similar and smaller, easy to navigate
