Scope of Job :
Responsible for the management, supervision and direction of retail staff within a designated region. Goal is to provide maximum profitability with minimum risk, promoting core deposit and loan growth by attracting new business and building multiple relationships with existing customers. A high level of customer service must be maintained while coaching and training retail team to excellence.
Primary Duties :
Responsible for the day-to-day supervising, staffing, administration, and related support staff for the assigned area (s) of responsibilities.
Selects, trains, coaches, and develops subordinates in accordance with BankWest philosophies and policies; schedules and manages staffing ensuring work completion and delivery of related customer service requirements; ensures compliance with BankWest policies, procedures and standards.
Responsible for overdraft payment decisions in conjunction with account officers, performance and collection activities related to retail customer deposits and loan accounts.
Works as full backup for Tellers, Universal Bankers, and Personal Bankers. Oversee work tasks supporting the completion of customer transactions. Responsible for the origination of secured and unsecured personal loans. Adhere to the credit practices of the Bank in the following areas : loan application, credit documentation, analysis, underwriting, customer communication, teller transactions, and all related disclosures.
Actively work to identify customer needs for additional Bank and financial service products; sell and refer to Trust, Brokerage, Cash Management and Insurance to new and existing customers.
Responsible for providing customer service, perform account maintenance, problem solve according to customer need. This includes but is not limited to; stop payment, fund transfers, balance inquiry, address or other information changes, account balancing, debit card and web banking support.
Collaborates with and supports Regional President, Branch President or Branch Manager.
Provides other operation support to the Branch. Includes but is not limited to, processing monthly invoices, ordering Branch supplies, performing quarterly Branch audits. Responsible for the review and administration of customer complaints including but not limited to fraud.
Proactively focus on growing the retail banking department in accordance with the Bank's CRM program, actively working with Retail Banking staff to identify and align customers with Bank products and services. Prospect and refer new and existing customer to the Trust, Insurance, Brokerage, Cash Management to include GAP / Warranty / Credit Life products. Ensure that banking performance is aligned with the budge and other performance measures to include annual sales goals.
Secondary Duties :
Work as a team with departmental counterparts on planning and implementing assigned projects and products.
Participate on various committees and project teams as deemed appropriate by management.
Attend, actively participate in organization, job specific training offered, and Quality Service programs.
Adhere to all applicable Policies and Procedures of BankWest organization.
Community involvement is strongly encouraged.

Requirements
Education :
A Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
Applicable experience and / or related certifications may be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience :
5 years' experience in related field.
Experience in sales and customer service aspects of Banking.
Knowledge and Special Skills :
Ability to work dependently and / or independently, under pressure, meet deadlines, and adjust work schedules as needed to complete job responsibilities.
Ability to organize and handle multiple responsibilities while delivering quality external and / or internal Customer Service.
Strong interpersonal skills to ensure effective communication with external and / or internal customers.
Knowledge or ability to learn regulatory requirements pertinent to performance of specified duties in job description.
Knowledge of banking terminology and procedures.
Knowledge of BankWest products and services.
Ability to skillfully use a variety of application software, learn computer programs, and comprehend the program output.
Adhere to Federal Privacy Standards in addition to following BankWest requirements for electronic communication and Social Engineering standards.
