We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Project Engineer to lead the design and development of advanced medical devices.

The role involves driving electronics and embedded systems from concept to production while ensuring technical excellence, regulatory compliance ISO 13485, and successful product launches.

The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with contract manufacturers (CMs) to support design transfer, production builds, and troubleshooting.

This critical, hands-on role in Product Development and Engineering is based in Torrance, CA, and is not a remote or hybrid position.  We offer a fast-paced, high impact and stimulating work environment with opportunities for professional growth within BCI.  Veterans welcome!

BASIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Lead electronics and embedded system development across the full product lifecycle — from concept, architecture, and design through to testing, validation, and manufacturing transfer.
• Collaborating with Production, Marketing, and Sales for product requirements, releases, supports, and testing.
• Conduct design review including schematics and PCB layouts and FW for embedded systems, video / audio signal chains, and power subsystems.
• Work closely with contract manufacturers (CMs) daily to ensure product designs are implemented correctly and manufacturing aligns with specifications.
• Validate conceptual problem solutions by performing trade studies and analyses.
• Be a key contributor to the preparation of successful proposal designs, cost estimates, and technical volume write ups.
• Su pport and drive root cause analysis and resolution for design, validation, and field issues.
• Create and maintain documentation required for design history files (DHF).
