Assists in the installation and major repair of equipment. Performs preventative maintenance on equipment. Takes call duty as scheduled on a daily rotation for weekday, weekend and holiday rotation. Accesses, understands and utilizes the energy management computer system. Maintains work areas in the field, shop and vehicles in an orderly and clean manner, maintaining a safe work place. Performs tasks in a safe manner. Ensures the proper care and use of tools, equipment and supplies. Maintains professional growth and development by attending educational, technical and training programs, seminars and courses. Completes Worxhub computer generated work orders and provides clear documentation of work as required. Generates work orders for additional work or tasks identified in field and completes or submits them as appropriate. Assists with inventory of material. Notifies supervisor. Participates in internal moves for residents. Must have the ability / knowledge to perform the following tasks : Install (wire) new light fixture. Pull wire for low voltage applications, such as computers or thermostats. Install computer network 10-base-T wall jacks. Solder copper pipe up to 3" in diameter. Change valve seats and stems. Replace (install) toilet fixtures. Rebuild hot water mixing valves. Accurately estimate the amount of paint required to paint a room. Remove wallpaper. Prepare surfaces for painting. Repair holes in drywall. Replace grout around tile and plumbing fixtures. Change filters on air handling units. Change fan drive belts. Clean evaporator and condenser coils. Disassemble, clean, and reassemble pump strainers. Replace drive belts. Lift up to 100 pounds occasionally. Lift and carry 50 pounds repeatedly. Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and structural drawings. High school graduate or equivalent. A basic trade knowledge in electrical, plumbing, mechanical, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, welding, and / or carpentry required. Three or more year's total experience in any of the above trades is required. Vocational or technical school training is beneficial. Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License. Good written, oral, organizational, and basic computer skills. Perform basic math (addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication).

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will carry out our Mission of Love by performing a variety of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, building automation control, mechanical and general maintenance and preventive maintenance work including all facets of maintenance and new construction duties.
