Remote Security Engineer

Rate : $65 - $78 / hr. (contract)

Key Responsibilities

• Security Operations & Monitoring :
• Analyze and prioritize security events and logs.
• Collaborate effectively with Managed Detection and Response (MDR) providers for optimal threat detection.
• Maintain and enhance Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
• Governance, Risk & Compliance :
• Address internal and external audit requests with precision and timeliness.
• Support compliance initiatives, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
• Sales & Business Enablement :
• Assist in completing security-related sections of RFPs.
• Provide technical security insights for sales and customer assurance.
• Security Architecture & Engineering :
• Design and implement robust security controls across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments and support remediation efforts.
• Collaboration & Communication :
• Engage cross-functionally with IT, DevOps, Legal, and Product teams to embed security in all workflows.
• Stay informed on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory changes.
