American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist for an acute care hospital assignment requiring at least 1 year of experience and manual / hand therapy certification.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is in an acute care hospital within the OT departmentDay shift schedule of 5x8-hour shifts from 8 : 30 am to 5 : 00 pmPatient population includes individuals with acute and chronic disordersAssessment, billing, infection prevention, and fall / risk assessment are integral areas of focusEpic EMR system is used for charting and proficiency is requiredFloating between like units and facilities within the state is expectedRole includes assessments and interventions for both acute and chronic conditions focusing on patient safety and functional improvementTravelers must be open to floating as needed between facilities and units in the stateA 16-hour orientation will be provided at the start of the assignmentScrub attire must be any solid color except royal blueFree parking is available on siteFormer permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot live within 50 miles of the facility while on assignmentAll time off requests must be submitted for approval at time of application; late requests may be deniedFirst-time travelers are welcome to apply\n \n Requirements\n
Current Occupational Therapist license required if applicableAt least 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience in an acute care settingCertifications required in Manual Therapy and Hand TherapyAbility to perform infection prevention and fall / risk assessment proceduresStrong skills in billing and patient functional activity assessmentReferences from at least 2 supervisory roles covering 1 year of employment within the past 3 years in a comparable settingSSN and date of birth required for consideration\n Benefits\n
