Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of experience in peripheral vascular and advanced neuro interventional work.
Responsibilities
Work in a vascular interventional radiology procedural settingDay shift schedule, 4x9 hour shifts from 7 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PMPatient population includes those requiring peripheral vascular procedures, venous central lines, embolization, and thrombectomyProcedures performed include peripheral vascular, venous central lines, tube changes, arterial and venous embolization, venous thrombectomy, neuro work, cardiac cath lab, and structural heart proceduresHybrid peripheral vascular work in collaboration with vascular surgery, including EVAR, TCAR, and TEVARUtilizes adjunctive tools such as ICUS, FFR / iFR, Lithotripsy, Laser, Rota, Impella, IABP, OCT, and CTOEPIC EMR charting requiredResponsibilities include administering contrast material, monitoring for allergic reactions, and performing essential radiologic technologist functionsAssists with inventory, documentation, and instruction of new staff as necessaryMaintains patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality throughout proceduresRequired to take on-call duties within 6 months of startExpect to work variable shifts and take call as assigned to meet department needsContingent workers may not exceed one year continuous assignment; a 6-month break in service is required before returnRequested time off may not exceed 7 days per 13-week contractNo travel partners accepted for this assignmentRequirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience in interventional radiology rolesAssociate's degree in a related field or certificate in Radiologic TechnologyCurrent BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart AssociationActive IEMA Radiography License (Illinois) and ARRT (R) registration requiredAbility to work around and maintain a sterile field and pull supplies during proceduresExperience in interventional neurology preferredLevel 1 Trauma experience requiredEPIC charting experience requiredManual dexterity to handle small supplies and perform detailed work accuratelyLicense required if applicableApplicants must live at least 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates acceptedBenefits
