Job Title : Journeyman Electrician
Shift : 1st (6 AM - 4 : 30 PM) or 3rd (6 PM - 4 : 30 AM)
Pay : $40.25 / hr.
Location : Detroit, MI
Job Overview :
The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for performing a wide range of electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair duties to ensure safe and reliable operation of production equipment and facility systems. The ideal candidate must be a card-holding Journeyman Electrician with a minimum of 5 years of electrical experience .
Primary Responsibilities :
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, circuit diagrams, technical manuals, prints, and specifications to perform timely and accurate equipment repairs.
- Analyze and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions in equipment and related components.
- Maintain and repair electrical control systems, machine components, electronic circuits, and pneumatic / hydraulic systems.
- Perform predictive and preventative electrical maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot issues independently, consulting senior electricians or engineers for complex problems as needed.
- Work safely and efficiently, following all company and regulatory safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support team and production goals.
Required Skills / Qualifications :
Journeyman Electrician Certification (card-holding) required.Minimum 5 years of electrical experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude with experience in control systems and machine components.Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs (5000, 500, Panel Builder, DeviceNet).Experience with Stanley and Atlas Copco power tools .Ability to read and interpret wiring / circuit diagrams for troubleshooting and repairs.Familiarity with Dalsa Vision Systems .Basic knowledge of ABB Robotics , including homing robots, touching up points, and troubleshooting hardware malfunctions.Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.Self-motivated and able to work independently while maintaining high productivity.Education :
High School Diploma or GED required; additional technical training or certifications preferred.#TECH123
