Maintenance Supervisor

Tehachapi Cement, LLC is seeking a qualified Maintenance Supervisor for a role based in Tehachapi, CA. This position will report to the Maintenance Manager and will be responsible for overseeing maintenance operations, ensuring high-quality performance from maintenance crews, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the plant’s operations.

Responsibilities :

• Team Supervision : Supervise and lead maintenance personnel, ensuring effective application of the plant’s Maintenance Improvement Program (MIP).
• Work Quality : Oversee and ensure quality work performance of maintenance crews and outside contractors.
• Breakdown Management : Manage urgent or breakdown maintenance jobs to minimize downtime and keep production running smoothly.
• Inventory Management : Evaluate and communicate anticipated jobs and provide input on store stock inventory.
• Scheduling & Prioritization : Participate in developing work schedules, equipment usage schedules, and prioritizing mechanical expenditures. Create and follow procedures for equipment and appliance maintenance.
• Project Participation : Contribute to projects by preparing material and labor estimates and supporting project implementation.
• SAP Usage : Utilize and update information in SAP as required.
• Policy Enforcement : Enforce company policies and uphold safety regulations, including MSHA and OSHA compliance.
• Equipment & Tool Management : Ensure maintenance tools and equipment are in good working condition and that appropriate stock is available.
• Staff Development : Evaluate skills, identify training needs, and provide development opportunities for assigned staff.
• Union Relations : Administer the Collective Bargaining Agreement, including participating in the disciplinary and grievance processes when required.
