Travel Cath Lab Tech - $2,056 per week in Rapid City, SD

Job Title : Cath Lab Tech Profession : Cath Lab Tech Specialty : Cardiac Cath Lab Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift : 12 Experience : 2 years minimum with coronary, structural heart, complex PCI, and peripheral experience License : AA / AAS Degree required Certifications : BLS, ACLS, RT or equivalent, or RCIS required Must-Have : - Experience in coronary, complex PCI, and peripheral cases - Ability to perform table movement (panning) - Arrhythmia recognition and treatment skills - Critical patient assessment skills Description : The facility has 2 cath labs and 2 hybrid peripheral / OR. Travelers must live 100 miles away from the facility. Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as travelers. Patient types include coronary artery disease, STEMI, cardiogenic shock, complex total occlusions, diagnostic cath procedures, valvular disease, renal disease, carotid stenosis, limb salvage, peripheral stenosis, thrombosis disease, Impella insertion, and LVAD insertions. Patient ratios are RN 1 : 1. Travelers will not have to float to other departments as they are separate. Support staff includes a charge nurse Monday through Friday from 0600 to 1630. The charting system used is EPIC (required) and Epic Cupid (preferred). Travelers will be on call 1-2 days per week from 1630 to 0600 and every 4th weekend from 1630 Friday to 0600 Monday. Holiday expectations may require working on 1 holiday per assignment. Approval of time off must go through the manager. Scrub color is procedural and provided.
