Job Description

As our Director of Finance, you'll be the mastermind behind all activities related to budgeting, forecasting, profit and loss reporting, and account reconciliation for our hotel location. You'll be responsible for directly overseeing all accounting activities related to income auditing, cashiering, accounts payable processing, accounts receivable collection, tax compliance, payroll, and month-end processing, and may oversee payroll. This high-profile Executive Committee position is ideal for an experienced hotel finance professional who is driven, energetic, and committed to achieving results. You build trust through honesty and integrity, proactively seek understanding to support hotel goals, and communicate clearly with leadership at all levels. With strong financial acumen, you also have a passion for developing others and helping them advance in their careers.

Key Skills and Responsibilities

• Ensure that monthly P&Ls accurately represent revenues, expenses, and cost of sales, while analyzing daily and monthly variances between actual, forecasted, and budgeted performance.
• Advise GM and executive team on existing and upcoming financial and operational issues, facilitating monthly P&L reviews to uncover challenges, opportunities and trends.
• Foster strong professional relationships with the entire management group by providing direct counsel and feedback that positively impacts the performance of the business and sharpens the financial acumen of the team.

What We’re Looking For :

Experience with budgeting, forecasting, profit and loss reporting and balancing ledgers for operating and balance sheet accounts.

Ability use logic to define a problem, collect information, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, interpret information and deal with abstract variables for unique or unfamiliar situations.
