Required Qualifications :
One year of recent experience as an Advanced Practice ProviderActive and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license, in accordance with State regulationsCurrent BLS (AHA / ARC)Current ACLS (AHA / ARC) certifications for acute settingsPreferred Qualifications :
Master’s Degree or higher in an accredited advanced practice educational programOther certifications and licenses may be required for this positionSummary :
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for delivering comprehensive medical care in collaboration with supervising or collaborating physicians and other members of the healthcare team. The APP conducts patient assessments, develops appropriate treatment, and orders diagnostic test. They are responsible for interpreting diagnostic and perform procedures within their scope of practice and credentialing. This role is flexible and can span a variety of clinical settings. These providers use evidence-based practice, patient centered care, and close communication with the care team to promote positive clinical outcomes.
Essential Work Functions :
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history, physical examination, and mental status assessmentsFormulate differential diagnoses and evidence-based treatment plansOrder and interpret diagnostic tests, imaging, and laboratory workPrescribe medications and initiate therapies within scope of licensureMonitor treatment effectiveness and adjust care plans as neededCommunicate and coordinate with the complete patient care teamParticipate in team huddles, rounds, and case discussionsContribute to multidisciplinary care planning and discharge processesAccurately document patient encounters, assessments, and care plansEducate patients, families, and team members on health promotion and disease preventionEnsure compliance with regulatory, licensing, and institutional policiesRequired Essential Skills :
