Assistant Director Of Eligibility, Analysis And Operations
The Assistant Director of Eligibility, Analysis & Operations for Student Financial Aid provides oversight, leadership, and direction to the staff, operations and activities for the area. Works in conjunction with the Associate Director to plan, prepare and implement operational policy, programs and process improvements for undergraduate and graduate professional students. Manages and coordinates financial aid packaging and ensures compliance. Provides oversight, leadership, and direction to the staff, operations and activities of the Eligibility, Analysis & Operations area. Serves as resource for staff on verification and other processing issues, including federal regulations and institutional policies governing student financial aid eligibility. Researches and resolves procedural problems, assigns and reviews work performed according to workflow demands by monitoring and prioritizing work. Provides information and processing services, serving as a liaison to staff in SFA, colleges / departments, extended campuses, and external representatives. Routinely exercises professional judgment in matters such has appeals of dependency status and special financial circumstances. Manages the daily workflow of the area. Implements efficiency measures, policies and develops procedures. Responds and counsels students, parents, faculty, and staff on ongoing general financial aid inquiries. Acts in absence of the Associate Director as needed. Interviews, hires and trains staff. Employs a comprehensive performance management system with staff, including performance planning, coaching, feedback and completing year end performance reviews. Serves as the resident SFA expert for SFA subject matter expert on awarding and processing issues, including federal regulations and institutional policies governing student financial aid eligibility. Attends meetings, serves on committees; maintains confidentially of sensitive documents and issues. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education / Experience Required : Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 5 years of relevant experience required.
Desired : 8-12 years of relevant experience preferred.
The salary range for this position is $58,700 - $77,200.
