Job descriptionMasters degree in Environmental Science; or Masters degree in a natural science with 9 graduate semester hours in environmental related science or engineering courses; such as but not limited to, Atmospheric Sciences, Botany, Earth Science, Ecology, Environmental Biology, Environmental Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, Geosciences, and / or Oceanography (not to be limited to EVR and EVS courses only); or Masters degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Environmental Science. Must have basic computer software and Internet skills Must be a Florida resident Must obtain MDC Online Certification by successfully completing specific online training provided by the College upon hiring Previous online teaching experience preferred For best consideration upload your unofficial transcripts along with cover letter and resume. This Adjunct faculty position teaches online Environmental Science credit courses for MDC Online.
What you will be doing
- Facilitates student learning in online courses
- Manages online courses through the LMS (learning management system) and its tools
- Interacts with students online via discussion, chat, and emails at least three times a week
- Evaluates and advises students
- Provides feedback on the course to course developers
- Participates in departmental and College affairs
- Performs other duties as assigned
