SCDMV Information Technology is a professional information processing group dedicated to maintaining and improving IT functions and reliability for the ultimate benefit of citizens of South Carolina. We recognize our contractors are an integral part of executing this mission.

The SC DMV has begun a system data modernization project. The team is looking for strong Data Modeling experience - This role will focus on Data Modeling using ERWIN or a similar tool and Reverse Engineering and requires at least 3 years of experience. DBA experience is a plus but not the main focus of the role.

Scope of the project :

This role will be responsible for using data modeling tools on ORACLE and MS SQL databases :

This position will also supplement our current sql dba force with production support activities such as adhoc daily tickets, version updates, security updates, etc. and may require working beyond normal business hours.

Candidate will be working in a team environment consisting of 6 database engineers and administrators and working directly with application architect, application developers, business analysts, and server support team.

Daily Duties / Responsibilities :

Same modeling activities may be required for MS SQL databases.

ORACLE and MS SQL production support activities as needed and directed by the DBA manager.

Required Skills (rank in order of Importance) :

ORACLE 19 DBA and / or SQL SERVER 2019, 2022

Preferred Skills (rank in order of Importance) :

ORACLE ASM

Required Education : High School Diploma

Preferred Certifications :

Oracle Certified Associate or other Oracle certification
