Responsibilities Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital with a 60-bed capacity Level II Trauma Center with high patient acuity and a diverse population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics Handles trauma, GSW, sepsis, COVID, STEMI, stroke, DKA, mental health, respiratory, and chest pain cases Average daily census of 140-150 patients Nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1 : 4, with flexibility to 1 : 5 for low acuity Uses Epic for charting, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing systems Central and bedside telemetry monitoring at the nursing station 12-hour day shifts (0700-1900 or 0900-2100), every other weekend required No floating requirements Holiday coverage required for 3 out of 5 major holidays Work closely with ER techs, charge nurses, float / resource nurses, RT, ED educator, security, house supervisor, and pharmacy staff for support Professional, team-oriented, and traveler-friendly environment with fast-paced workflow Initial orientation includes NEO, Epic training if needed, and preceptor-led shifts Up to 5 days of approved time off available during contract No on-call required Scrubs in any professional color are permitted Visible piercings must be modest and tattoos must not be offensive Free designated parking provided Requirements Current WA or compact RN license Minimum 1 year of strong recent ED experience required Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, CPI / MOAB Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV skills, procedural sedation, blood administration, and ED medication administration Epic EMR experience preferred Completion and passing of Traveler Telemetry Competency Exam prior to start First-time travelers will not be considered Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-618573.
