Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details

Location : Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York healthcare jobs)

Unit : Cardiac Stepdown Unit

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (travel nursing contract)

Start Date : June 23, 2025

End Date : September 22, 2025

Shift : 10-hour day shifts (4 shifts / week)

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2330 - $2500 per week

Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or compact state (NY nursing jobs)

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Cardiac Stepdown, Telemetry, or acute care nursing

Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records (EMR) system

BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Strong clinical assessment, cardiac monitoring, and critical thinking skills

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients in a hospital setting

Monitor, assess, and document patient status, cardiac rhythms, and progress

Administer cardiac medications and treatments as prescribed

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, procedures, and post-discharge care

Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit meetings
