About On Demand Counseling :

On Demand Counseling provides comprehensive mental health and addiction treatment, supporting clients in Northeast Ohio through a wide range of services, from individual counseling to group programs. We are dedicated to removing barriers to treatment and offering compassionate, effective care to individuals and families in need.

Position Summary :

The Counselor plays a key role in supporting clients through assessments, case management, counseling, and crisis intervention. This position offers flexible scheduling with the option to work four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts weekly. As a Counselor, you will work directly with clients, families, and community partners to facilitate continuity of care and positive treatment outcomes.

As part of our team, you will advocate for clients, work collaboratively with professionals, and apply your clinical skills to make a real impact on each client's journey in mental health and addiction recovery.

Key Responsibilities :

• Client Counseling & Case Management : Provide individual counseling sessions, conduct assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans that align with the client's needs and recovery goals.
• Crisis Intervention : Manage crisis situations effectively, using de-escalation techniques and professional standards to support clients.
• Referral Coordination : Refer clients to appropriate mental health resources or higher levels of care as needed, facilitating connections with community services.
• Client Advocacy : Advocate for clients with various stakeholders, including courts, schools, treatment centers, and other services to coordinate care and monitor progress.
• Documentation & Reporting : Maintain precise and up-to-date client records, including assessments, case notes, and treatment summaries, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with program standards.

Competency in diagnosing and treating mental health and / or substance use disorders.
