Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Location : Syracuse, NY

Setting : Occupational Health Clinic

Schedule : Part-Time (Monday–Wednesday, 8 : 30 a.m. – 4 : 30 p.m.)

Compensation : $43,000 – $45,000 annually (based on experience)

Employment Type : Direct Hire

Benefits : Part-time benefits package, paid 30-minute lunch, no overtime

Position Summary :

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN to join our Occupational Health Clinic in Syracuse, NY. This is a part-time role with the potential to expand to a fourth day (Thursday) in the future. The ideal candidate will be proactive, respectful to providers, and committed to delivering high-quality patient care. You’ll be responsible for both clinical and occasional administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities :

Prepare patients for medical evaluations : obtain vitals, review medical history, current medications, allergies, and update charts in EPIC.

Assist in diagnostic and treatment procedures including :

EKG, Spirometry, Audiometry, Dynamometry

Phlebotomy, Urine Collection, Snellen Eye Exams, Hemoccult

Support front-desk operations as needed (check-in / out, phone coverage).

Collaborate with Albany office MA on form processing, if required.

Monitor and maintain medical equipment : calibration, temperature logs, supply levels, and expiration dates.

Conduct pre-visit assessments and manage external record requests.

Ensure accurate chart preparation and test result retrieval.

Qualifications :

Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or LPN program, or 3+ years of relevant clinical experience.

Current CPR / BLS certification.

Experience in a medical office setting required.

Preferred Skills :

Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records.

Phlebotomy experience.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
