JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary / Objective

Valtim Marketing Solutions Machine Operator will be responsible for maintenance and operation of their individual piece of equipment to meet demands and expectations of our clients. All Operators are cross trained to operate multiple pieces of equipment.

Skills and Specifications

• Strong attention to detail and understanding of quality standards.
• Ability to read, understand and communicate work orders; take and apply instruction.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a deadline driven environment.
• Ability to understand and comply with quality and safety regulations.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Willingness to learn and improve; ability and openness to train on multiple machines.
• Basic math skills are needed as well as the ability to use and read a ruler.

POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

We are currently hiring for first and second shift. Standard hours for 1st shift are Monday through Friday, 6 : 30AM to 3PM with evening and weekend hours as needed and standard hours for 2nd shift are Monday through Friday, 3PM to 11 : 30PM. Production hours vary by department.

RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS

Highest Level Managed : None

Organization Relationships : This position interacts and communicates directly and regularly with Production Manager, VP of Operations, Client Services team, Warehouse team, and other operators.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a manufacturing environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, stand; walk; sit; climb; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; crawl; and reach. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Ability to stand on your feet for an entire shift; lift a minimum of 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the scheduled shift.
