Mortgage Loan Assistant

Citizens State Bank is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Mortgage Loan Assistant. This position will work in tandem with Mortgage Loan Officers to compile and coordinate new loan files for underwriting and processing. They will communicate with and collect documentation from borrowers and brokers along with communicating with third party vendors to obtain supporting loan documentation.

Key Responsibilities :

• Obtain and review supporting loan documentation to prepare loan file for lender review.
• Act as a liaison between the loan officer, borrowers, brokers and title to facilitate loan approval.
• Order any necessary appraisal or title work. Review for accuracy and obtain items to clear title requirements.
• Assist in completing loan set ups, including the creation of a staging file to prepare for processing.
• Assist in managing pipeline to ensure timely closings.
• Adhere to all lending and regulatory guidelines and policies while preparing the file.

Requirements

Ideal candidate will be energetic and able to learn new things quickly. Applicants with experience assisting with mortgages or processing mortgages are encouraged to apply. Knowledge of real estate loans is a bonus for applicants.

Applicant should possess strong organizational skills, customer service skills, and the ability to work well with others. The ability to communicate and request documentation from lenders and customers and efficiently operate a computer will be necessary skills.
